Delhi Election 2020 Voting Live Updates: Polling concludes, 57.05% estimated turnout — highest voting in North East, lowest in New Delhi

Delhi Election Live Update, Delhi Election Voting Live Streaming: Over 1.47 crore people are eligible to exercise their franchise in the polls that will decide the fate of 672 candidates. Around 2.33 lakh voters are in the age group of 18-19, 2.04 lakh voters are senior citizens aged 80, while there are 11,608 service voters.

Delhi Assembly Election 2020 Voting Live: Polling underway peacefully across all 70 Assembly seas in Delhi.

Delhi Election 2020 Voting Live Updates: Polling for all 70 assembly seats concluded with an estimated 57.05 per cent turnout. The voter turnout has recorded a sharp decline as compared to 2015, when over 67 per cent voting was recorded. As per election commission, North Delhi recorded the highest turnout while the lowest voting happened in New Delhi.

Speaking to PTI, Joint Commissioner of Police (Eastern Range) Alok Kumar said that the personnel, including senior officers, conducted flag marches in sensitive areas. ‘They also conducted patrolling on motorcycles. The Delhi Legislative Assembly has 70 seats. A political party or an alliance needs the support of at least 36 MLAs to claim majority. The results will be declared on February 11. The tenure of the current assembly expires on February 22. The high-stakes election is being fought between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress. In the previous Assembly held in 2015, the Aam Aadmi Party had pulled a stunning win, bagging 67 of the 70 seats. The BJP won just 3 seats and the Congress drew a blank.
