'I take responsibility for the results', says Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwary
Accepting responsibility for the defeat, Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari rallied his party workers to not take the loss to heart.
“Thank you to all the voters of Delhi. Thank you to all the party workers for their hard work We respect the mandate of people. @ArvindKejriwal congratulations to you,” he posted on Twitter in Hindi.
He later said: "I hope that Delhi will develop and the ambitions of its people will be fulfilled...sometimes, when things don’t go your way, it can lead to dejection but I would request the workers of the party not to feel dejected. BJP president respects mandate, Goa CM says voters fell for 'freebies'
In a tweet, BJP's Kapil Mishra congratulated Arvind Kejriwal for the "impressive victory." He thanked the BJP workers for contesting the elections "with full strength." Thanking the people of Delhi, he said "the struggle will continue."
Mr. Mishra was earlier slapped with a campaigning ban by the ECI for his controversial tweets, for creating enmity among classes."

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said voters may have fallen for freebies announced by the Kejriwal government before the elections. The BJP leader said the AAP government in Delhi failed to provide pollution-free air and clean drinking water, which are basic necessities.
“We accept the people’s verdict. May be, people wanted a government that gives freebies from their own taxes,” Mr Sawant told reporters in Ponda town of North Goa district.
“I have been going to Delhi. In Goa, we are happier and more contended compared to those living in Delhi. NCP chief Sharad Pawar said the BJP hjas paid for its arrogance.
"I'm not surprised with the results coming out from the Capital. I congratulate AAP and its leadership. There is a sense of anger against the arrogance of the BJP and people have voted against it in a large number.
"There are a lot of people from the other States who have settled in Delhi, and therefore the result is also a reflection of what is happening (the anger) there with regard to the anti-BJP sentiment across the country. “Congratulations @ArvindKejriwal @AamAadmiParty and the people of Delhi who have given a befitting reply to BJP’s politics of hate and violence. Union ministers called for ‘gaalis’ and ‘golis’ People have given their answer,” said CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury in a tweet.
“BJP’s top leaders, its ministers and MPs cannot be allowed to get away with incitements and threats to murder. Last time such an atmosphere of hate & violence was generated, Gandhiji was assassinated,” he said.
CPI General Secretary D. Raja said the BJP tried everything tom polarise the Delhi voters: "This is a huge defeat for the BJP considering Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah had concentrated all their energy in Delhi elections. They used every possible trick to polarise the Delhi voters using CAA/NRC/NPR narrative."

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said AAP's win is a harbinger for pro-people politics.

We have resolved to revive the party: Congress
The Congress, accepting its heavy defeat, has vowed to rebuild its self.
“People’s mandate is against us, we accept it. We have resolved to revive and rebuild the party,” Congress’ chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said at a press conference.
Delhi Congress chief Subhash Chopra said, “Attempts to polarise were made by both parties (BJP and AAP) and they were successful to an extent.”
However, he added, the results also showed that the people of Delhi were not with the communal forces.
AICC Delhi in-charge PC Chacko said the message of Delhi polls is that the “most toxic campaign” unleashed by Mr. Modi and Mr. Shah has been defeated by the people of the national capital. - PTI

AAP calls it a ‘victory of love’

Addressing media, AAP MP Sanjay Singh termed it as a “big win” said that the result is a victory of “love”.
“It’s a win for two crore people of Delhi,” he said. He also said that personal attacks on party chief Arvind Kejriwal has cost other parties dearly.
“BJP had used money, power and liquor, but two crore people of Delhi has answered them,” Mr. Singh said.
Stalin congratulates Kejriwal
DMK president M.K. Stalin on Tuesday congratulated Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP, saying the massive mandate was a clear indication that development had trumped communal politics. “Federal rights and regional aspirations must be strengthened in the interest of the country,” he tweeted.
Message for BJP is ‘poisonous’ campaign will not work says RJD's Manoj Jha
Senior RJD leader Manoj Jha on Tuesday said the biggest message from the Delhi Assembly polls is for the BJP that “poisonous” campaign and statements will not work.
He said the message has also gone out to Bihar where assembly polls are due next year, and to the rest of the country.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) had contested the Delhi election on four seats in alliance with the Congress. The alliance was staring at a massive defeat in the national capital.
'Hindustan has won'
"Your son Arvind Kejriwal was called a terrorist. Kejriwal had said that day that on 11th our two crore-strong family will say that their son Kejriwal is not a terrorist but a strong patriot," AAP MP and Assembly election incharge Sanjay Singh said while addressing party workers.
"They had said it was a Hindustan-Pakistan match. Hindustan has won, Hindustan has won, Hindustan has won," Mr. Singh said.
Poll statrategiest Prashant Kishor who recently had joined hands with AAP after being expelled from JD(U), has tweeted: "Thank you Delhi for standing up to protect the soul of India".
A fight between 'a giant and a pygmy'
The Delhi Assembly election was a fight between “a giant and a pygmy” and the AAP is winning it despite the NDA government using all its might to wrest power in the national capital, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said on Tuesday.
As trends indicated that the Aam Aadmi Party was leading on over 55 seats and the BJP on 14, Mr. Chowdhury said the people of Delhi voted for development.
