Malang box office collection Day 8: Aditya Roy Kapur film earns Rs 41.90 crore

Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani-starrer Malang hit the silver screens on February 7 and received mixed reviews from critics as well as the audience. The film is directed by Mohit Suri and has witnessed a dip in collections after a week of release.
Malang earned Rs 2.25 on day 7 of its release, taking the film's total collections to Rs 41.90 crore.
Taran Adarsh shared the latest collections on Twitter and wrote, "#Malang is affected on [second] Fri, partly due to the reduction of screens and shows... Important to grow over the weekend *and* maintain the trend on weekdays... [Week 2] Fri 2.25 cr. Total: 41.90 cr. #India biz."

Malang also stars Anil Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu.
The film opened by earning Rs 6.71 crore on Day 1 and saw a growth on collections on day 2 and 3 by earning Rs 8.89 crore and Rs 9.76 crore respectively. The film's collections decreased from day 4 as Malang earned Rs 4.04 crore. Till Thursday, the film had earned Rs 39.65 crore.

The film is likely to face stiff competition from Kartik Aaryan, Sara Ali Khan and Randeep Hooda's Love Aaj Kal that released on February 14. Love Aaj Kal earned Rs 12.40 crore on day one.
