HONOLULU — Hawaii scored five runs in two separate innings to pick up an 11-3 win over the North Dakota State baseball team Sunday night.
Matt Wong got things started for Hawaii with an RBI double in the bottom of the second inning, before the home team got three more hits off Scott Scott, Kole Kaler and Dustin Demeter, resulting in three more runs.
The Bison got on the board in the fourth, when Nick Emanuel doubled to left center, bringing home Jack Simonsen. The Herd got two more runs on ground outs by Jake Malec and Calen Schwabe.
Eight different players registered a hit for the Bison, while Riley Johnson (0-1) suffered the loss on the mound, allowing four runs off five hits.
Kaler finished with three hits and four RBIs to lead Hawaii.

NDSU (1-2) plays Hawaii at 5:05 p.m. Monday, concluding their four-game series.
