YS Jaganmohan Reddy formally launched the third phase of the
Kanti Velugu programme in Kurnool on Tuesday.
The initiative, which is aimed at providing free
eye care to all, was launched at the STBC grounds at 11am.
The free eye screening and provision of spectacles after cataract operations would be held in six phases within a span of three years. The first and second phases of the programme covered school children.
Jagan has also laid the foundation stone for
health sub-centres as part of the government’s ‘Nadu-Nedu’ programme.
