Classic cars from the fabulous '50s vroom into Melbourne for annual celebration

“A Celebration of Cars” will feature more than 400 antique, classic and modern cars at the American Muscle Car Museum on Feb. 29, 2020. This year's theme is the “Fabulous Fifties.”

The family-friendly festival known as “A Celebration of Cars” is expected to bring together more than 400 antique, classic and modern automobiles in what must be car heaven, also known as the American Muscle Car Museum, 3500 Sarno Rd., Melbourne. The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 29.

Sponsored by the Antique Automobile Club of Cape Canaveral, which is the local affiliate of the Antique Automobile Club of America, "Celebration" this year will focus on the “Fabulous Fifties.” There will fins and chrome aplenty.

Dennis Gage, known for his popular long-running TV show, “My Classic Car,” will be available for photos, autographs, and special award presentations.

Families are invited to the outdoor event which last year attracted more than 1,000 spectators. Admission to the public is free. In addition to the cars, attendees can enjoy food vendors and a Kids’ Korner of games, activities and face painting.

For those who want to enter a car in the show, more information is available at antiqueautoclubcc.com. All car entrants will receive two free tickets to view the entire Muscle Car Museum. Spectators with a $20 dollar charity donation can also view the entire 230-car collection.

Proceeds benefit South Brevard Sharing Center and other charities, including Honor Flight and Brevard Achievement Center.

A Celebration of Cars

Admission: Admission to the car show is free. A $20 charity donation gives admission to the entire Muscle Car Museum collection. Kids under 18 with an adult are admitted free.
