Logical & Peaceful Solution for the Chronic Question of Palestine

By: Kayhan Int’l Staff Writer

Monday’s forced demolition of the 2-storey home of a Palestinian in Jabal al-Mokabber town near the occupied Islamic city of Bayt al-Moqaddas by the usurper Zionist entity, was not just the latest crime against the sons of the soil, but raised the question: for how long should Palestinians live in humiliation in their ancestral lands?
Montaser Shqeirat became the 11th Palestinian to saw his home reduced to rubble over the past month-and-a-half (since January 1), while thousands of Jews from all over the world continue to pour into Occupied Palestine from various parts of the world to build and expand illegal houses and colonies.
Neither the United Nations denounces this trampling of the basic rights of an oppressed nation, nor the self-styled advocates of human rights in Europe and North America say anything against this gross injustice.
Their hypocrisy, however, exceeds all bounds when the aggressed Palestinians resort to armed resistance against their tormentors, and their actions are most unjustly called ‘violence’ and ‘terrorists’.
These are the double standards of the international order presided over by the U.S. whose criminal president, Donald Trump, is trying to impose a shameless deal on Palestine, which is definitely not the property of this fraudulent realtor, and as per the U.N. Charter is outside the jurisdiction of Washington.
Palestine belongs to the Palestinians and not to its Zionist occupiers. This means the U.S. has no right to make decisions about Bayt al-Moqaddas, the West Bank of River Jordan, the Occupied Golan Heights, and even about Tel Aviv, Haifa, Ashkelon, and the entire region erroneously called Israel since 1948.
In such a situation, the only remedy to the sufferings of the Palestinian people is resistance, or more properly armed struggle for liberation of every single inch of their homeland, since the usurpers, the occupiers, the oppressors, and their supporters, do not understand the language of peaceful solution.
If the World Body or those who control it, really believe in diplomacy and bloodless resolution to the chronic question of Palestine, then the best and most democratic solution is the one proposed by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, some years back for a referendum under U.N. auspices to determine one unified state and one government.
As a matter of fact, as part of his peaceful approach towards this vexed issue, Ayatollah Khamenei recently reiterated the rationality of his proposal, which when compared to Trump’s ‘conspiracy of the century’ or any other so-called plan by the backstabbing regimes of the Persian Gulf, is a million times better.
The Leader said: "The fundamental solution for the issue of Palestine is what we discussed a few years ago which has been recorded in international centres: a poll should be conducted asking all original Palestinian people – not those who come from other countries and who reside in Palestine. Rather the poll should concern those who are originally from Palestine no matter what religion they follow, whether Islam, Christianity or Judaism, to choose a government which they all accept so that that such a government will rule over the entire Palestinian land – from the borders of Egyptian Sinai in the south to the borders of Lebanon in the north, and from the River Jordan in the east to the Mediterranean Sea in the west.”
He added: "This is the only solution for peace in Palestine and for resolving the issue of Palestine. I hope that this cause will move forward and I hope we will see that day, by Allah’s favour and grace, we perform our prayers in Bayt al-Moqaddas.”
This is not tall talk or a daydream. It is in fact, the most logical proposal. If it is ignored, it will lead to armed struggle and jihad by the Ummah to drive out the Zionists and their American godfather, by offering thousands of martyrs, so that the future generations of Palestinians live in peace in their reclaimed homeland.
