THE FAYETTEVILLE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE ARE TRYING TO SEND FALLEN OFFICER STEPHEN CARR'S PARTNER AND THREE OF HIS CLOSEST OFFICER FRIENDS TO WASHINGTON D-C. THERE THEY WOULD ATTEND POLICE WEEK IN MAY. THAT TRIP ALSO HAPPENS THE WEEK OF PEACE OFFICERS MEMORIAL DAY- WHICH IS A DAY TO HONOR FALLEN OFFICERS. Four officers, including fallen Officer Stephen Carr's partner, plan to attend Peace Officer's Memorial Service in Washington D.C. There they will pay respects to Officer Carr and other fallen heroes. The police department is asking for help funding the trip. The four officers will attend National Police Week in May. There the Peace Officer's Memorial Service will be held to honor fallen heroes from across the nation. The Fayetteville Fraternal Order of Police president said the service helps officers to find closure and cope with Officer Carr's death. The Fayetteville Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #10 setup a Go Fund me account to help fund the trip. You can donate via this link. The money will go toward travel expenses for the officers. Any proceeds above 100% of their travel expenses will go to the police benevolence fund. That will be used to fund any immediate financial needs for future Fayetteville Police Officers who are severely injured or killed in the line of duty.
