FARGO — The baggage claim at Hector International Airport is adding a little artistic flair.

Marcella Rose, an artist who's shown her work in states like Arizona, Washington and New Mexico, is displaying six different oil paintings above the baggage claim.

The exhibit is called "Sacred," and the name stems from Rose's idea of how everything can have a spiritual meaning.

"It's so important for people to take a moment and smell the flowers — you might say — to experience something beautiful," Rose said.

Rose is proud to see her art shown in a place with a high amount of traffic, like the airport.

"There are so many people that come through here daily; (there is a) chance to hopefully inspire someone else," she said.

The exhibit will be above the baggage claim until May.
