Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani met with Secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council, H E Nikolai Patrushev, at the Amiri Diwan yesterday.
During the meeting, they reviewed cooperation and relations between Qatar and Russia and the prospects for strengthening and developing them, especially in the security field.
The meeting also discussed the efforts of the two countries in the field of combating terrorism, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
Then, H E the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and HE the Secretary of the Russian Security Council witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding in the security fields between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Russian Federation. The meeting and the signature were attended by a number of Their Excellencies the Ministers. From the Russian side, they were attended by a number of Their Excellencies members of the accompanying delegation. The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior also hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Secretary of the Russian Federation Security Council and his accompanying delegation at the Amiri Diwan. The banquet was attended by a number of Their Excellencies Ministers.
