It’s never been easier to send graphic images of your own naked body around the world.

Now a phone firm has dreamed up a new way of helping exhibitionist humans preserve their modesty.

The latest handset from a Japanese company called Tone Mobile is fitted with artificial intelligence which knows when you’re trying to snap a graphic sexy selfie.

If it sees a vast expanse of naked flesh, the gadget will flash a warning which says: ‘Photo not taken due to inappropriate content.’

The tech company isn’t necessarily concerned about adults sending images of their naughty bits to each other.

Instead, it wants to protect children from sextortion attempts in which pervert hackers ask for nudes and then blackmail victims by threatening to release the images.

The company’s system is called ‘smartphone protection’ and can even be set up by parents so they are sent an alert as well pixellated images should their dear child try to take a picture of their naked body.

Sadly, you won’t be able to buy the new Tone e20 in the UK just yet. But it’s available in Japan for less than £180.

If you simply must snap some nudes, we’d advise you to follow these rules drawn up for Metro by Stephanie Barrett.

How to keep your naked selfies as anonymous as possible

1. Don’t include your face (obviously).

2. Think about identifying characteristics like hair, tattoos, piercings, scars or birthmarks.

3. Make sure the background is neutral and doesn’t include personal items or identifying features – even wallpaper or doorhandles could be obvious to a close friend.

4. Don’t post them from an account linked to you or with a username you’ve used elsewhere.

5. Don’t trust apps like Snapchat to delete them – people can always print screen.

6. Be careful using your mobile phone – apps can be linked, and this could end up with your ‘secret’ account for naked photos being recommended to your friends.

7. Consider using tricks like close-ups, unusual angles or black and white filters to make it especially anonymous.
