BENGALURU: A 25-year-old woman was detained for allegedly waving a placard bearing slogans "Muslim, Dalit, Kashmiri, Bahujan, Adivasi, Trans Liberation Now" in English and its Kannada version during a protest by pro-Kannada and pro-Hindu organisations at Town Hall in Bengaluru on Friday afternoon.
The protesters were condemning student-activist Amulya Leona Naronha who raised Pakistan Zindabad slogans at an anti-CAA protest on Thursday in the city.

Chethan Singh Rathor, deputy commissioner of police (Central), said that the suspect arrested on Friday has been identified as Ardra aka Annapoorna, a resident of Malleswaram.
"A young woman came and silently joined in the protest. We were about to pose for a photograph at the end of thje protest around 12.15pm when we noticed the woman holding a placard related to Kashmir and she suddenly started raising pro-Pakistan slogan," Mohan Gowda, a Hindu Jagaran Vedike activist, told media.
The protestors caught hold of the woman but police intervened and whisked her away.
DCP Rathor, however, said that Ardra did not raise any slogan and only displayed a placard.
"Our top priority was on rescuing the suspect from the crowd at that time. So, we rescued her and took her away from Town Hall. We are questioning her to know, why and how she joined in the protest, what was her intention and other details," Rathor said.
