    Ahead of India visit, Trump all praise for Ayushmann Khurrana's gay rom-com 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan'

    American President Donald Trump seems to be developing a love for all things Indian ahead of his visit to the country.

    The 73-year-old leader, who recently slammed 'Parasite's' Oscar win on account of it being a South Korean film, had a positive remark for the Bollywood gay rom-com 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan'.

    Human rights campaigner and LGBTQ+ activist Peter Tatchell lauded the Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer on social media, saying, "A new #Bollywood rom-com featuring a gay romance is hoping to win over older people, following the decriminalisation of homosexuality. Hurrah!"


    To this, the American President tweeted, "Great!"


    The retweet has been liked 33.9k times at the time of publishing the story.

    Tatchell took to the micro-bloggging site to respond to Trump’s retweet, saying he hopes it isn’t a “PR stunt.”



    The US President is scheduled to arrive in Ahmedabad on Monday for a less that 36-hour visit to India. He will be accompanied First Lady Melania Trump, the President's daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner, in addition to a galaxy of top US officials.

    After attending the 'Namaste Trump' event in Ahmedabad, the Trumps will travel to Agra on Monday afternoon to visit the Taj Mahal before arriving in New Delhi, where they are expected to stay at the ITC Maurya.

    'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan', written and directed by debutant Hitesh Kewalya, stars Ayushmann Khurrana, debutant Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao.
