Bhoot Part One The Haunted Ship box office collection Day 1: Vicky Kaushal film earns Rs 5.10 crore

After starring in films like Masaan and Uri: The Surgical Strike, Vicky Kaushal has come back to the big screen to scare the audience in Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship.

Friday being a holiday (Maha Shivratri), the film is expected to mint decent money at the box office. The film earned Rs 5.10 crore on the first day of its release.

Bhoot is directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh. The film is produced by Karan Johar. This is the first time Vicky has starred in a horror flick.

Bhoot has received negative reviews from the critics. Our reviewer, Vibha Maru, gave the film 1 out of 5 stars. She wrote, "Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship's storyline has major loopholes and we were willing to ignore it all if it had the potential to scare the daylights out of us. Bhoot delivers nothing of that sort. The ghosts in the film are, in fact, so unconvincing that they appear more like lizards crawling in the background. You might be reminded of Bipasha Basu's Creature, which isn't a good memory either. The director tries to make the audience scream with a few jump scares but they all fall flat, leaving us miffed."

Bhoot has released in theatres alongslide Ayushmann Khurrana's Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. The film is likely to face a major competition from the Ayushmann film.
