Lewis Capaldi's ex-girlfriend, Paige Turley, has reached the final of Love Island.

Paige, 22, avoided elimination on the hit ITV show yesterday alongside current beau, Finn Tapp.

The West Lothian beauty dated superstar, Lewis, when she was 18-years-old.

Her TV success comes in the same week that her former flame bagged two Brit Awards.

Lewis scooped Best New Artist and Song Of The Year at the prestigious bash on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old made headlines when he accepted both awards swigging bottles of beer and Buckfast, before 'swearing' on camera.

The Someone You Loved singer made a quick jibe at Love Island star Paige, who thought his winning hit was about her, during his acceptance speech for Song Of The Year.

Lewis assured the Brit Awards audience that the lyrics in fact referred to his gran, who sadly passed away while he was writing his album, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent.

Paige scored a place in the Love Island final ahead of Mike Boateng and Priscilla Anyabu who were dumped from the Cape Town villa on Friday night.

They were eliminated from the show after coming last in a vote to find the audience's favourite couple.

After the result was revealed to the islanders, Mike praised his fellow contestants.

"Honestly, you guys are amazing people," he said.

"I couldn't have asked for any better friends, any better family."

In her exit interview, Priscilla said that she was pleased to not be leaving the show empty-handed.

"I said to Mike the other day, 'I've got a boyfriend!'

"I didn't expect to find someone, I thought I may walk out of this single.

"So to have a boyfriend - who asked me in front of the world - it was so surreal but I'm happy it's Mike."

Casa Amor girl Priscilla wooed Mike away from Jess

Mike is now planning to move to London, where the pair will be nearer to each other.

Earlier in the programme Siannise Fudge was given a shock when she was messaged a photo of her sisters with the parents of her boyfriend Luke Trotman.

Shortly afterwards their families came into the villa to pay them a visit, including Paige's doting parents.

The Love Island final will be broadcast on Sunday with Luke Mabbott, Demi Jones, Luke T, Siannise, Ched Uzor and Jess Gale still in the competition, alongside Paige and Finn.

The programme continues on ITV2.
