Joe Pasquale has recently left fans drooling after he gave them a glimpse of his astonishing body transformation in a snap from The Full Monty.

The 58-year-old comedian has lost a whopping two stone in weight since getting his kit off for charity TV show The All New Monty - that saw a host of celebs performing a strip-tease for cancer awareness.

Discussing how his new gym routine had turned him into a 'Tom Hardy', Joe said on Good Morning Britain: “A little bit of weights but I do boxing. I get beaten up a lot.

"I was heavily into wine gums, but I've knocked that on the head now. I've cut it right down."

He added: "If I'm going on telly and getting my kit off, I don't want to look fat, especially as I was standing next to Ashley Banjo with nothing on, you wanna look your best. Everything is on the internet these days."

Joe had already shaped up for his role in comedy film The Full Monty, but motivated himself to transform further after he was dubbed “portly”.

He explained: “It was because of the Full Monty and also we had a review on one of the shows of Some Mothers, one of the viewers said I was a Portly Frank Spencer.

“Portly? I can’t be portly,” he said, referring to the Frank Spencer character in the 1970s TV comedy classic Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em.

His motivation to shred the pounds came in 2017, following his stint on the ITV show Sugar Free Farm.

Given the program's name, contestants on the programme were not allowed to eat sugar-filled foods.

In addition to the strict no-sugar rule, participants were also barred from consuming caffeine, fruit juices, cakes and alcohol.

Alongside other the celebrities on the show, Joe managed to lose an impressive one and a half stone following the diet switch-up.

Speaking about the show, Joe said: “We managed to lose five stone between us, but certain people did have midnight snacks - they would go down an cook in the middle of the night.

“But this was a great experience I will never forget and cutting out sugar really raised my energy levels.”

Joe's efforts saw him lose a whopping two stone

While giving up sugar full-time may not be possible, Joe revealed he had employed a new rule into his lifestyle, in order to avoid simply piling all the weight back on.

Speaking of food labels which are colour-coded for nutritional information purposes, Joe said: “I didn't realise they had all these traffic lights on food nowadays.

“They've got it on the amount of carbs, protein, sugars. If it’s not in the green on the sugar, I don’t eat it.”

The "new and improved" Joe revealed the secret to his success was "not eating cake" and doing one-hour sessions at the gym six times a week.

The dedicated I'm A Celebrity winner, who has also got some new tattoos, claimed he had "turned into" Hollywood heartthrob Tom Hardy.
