The Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Italy urges citizens of Armenia to avoid visiting the Codogno, Castiglione d’Adda, Casalpusterlengo, Fombio, Maleo, Somaglia, Bertonico, Terranova dei Passerini, Castelgerundo e San Fiorano and Veneto’s Vo’ Euganeo communities of Lombardy and being in crowded places in northern areas, for that matter. This is stated on the Facebook page of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Italy.

“Due to the sharp rise of the number of people infected with the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Italy, we call on citizens of the Republic of Armenia who are currently in Italy or wish to travel to Italy to contact the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Italy and transfer information about the period of stay in Italy and contacts.

We urge citizens of Armenia to avoid visiting the Codogno, Castiglione d’Adda, Casalpusterlengo, Fombio, Maleo, Somaglia, Bertonico, Terranova dei Passerini, Castelgerundo e San Fiorano and Veneto’s Vo’ Euganeo communities of Lombardy and being in crowded places in northern areas in general.

We recommend following the instructions of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Armenia and the relevant authorities of Italy.

The Italian government has drafted the following recommendations for the fight against the new coronavirus:

  • Wash hands often
  • Avoid close interaction with people with acute respiratory diseases
  • Don’t take anti-virus drugs or antibiotics without a doctor’s prescription
  • Use a mask only if you suspect that you have the virus or when taking care of an infected person
