UP: Man held for raping niece’s daughter in a village of Azamgarh

Azamgarh police, on Monday, arrested a 55-year-old Radheyshyam Jaiswal for raping 11-year-old daughter of his niece in a village of Azamgarh district.

VARANASI: Azamgarh police, on Monday, arrested a 55-year-old Radheyshyam Jaiswal for raping 11-year-old daughter of his niece in a village of Azamgarh district.
In-charge of Didarganj police station in Azamgarh, Dharmendra Kumar Singh said that after getting a complaint from a woman, a case was registered against Jaiswal under section 376, 504, 506 of IPC and also 3/4 of POCSO Act.
The girl was sent for medical examination on Sunday, said police.
The woman, in her complaint alleged that she had gone to market to buy medicines on Saturday evening when Jaiswal, her uncle, who dwells in her parents’ neighbouring house, reached her house and raped her daughter. Jaiswal also threatened the girl to kill her if she revealed the incident. The girl told her mother when she returned after a named FIR was lodged on Sunday.
