Two die in Nalanda road accidents

BIHARSHARIF: At least two persons, including the son of a mukhiya, were killed and another sustained critical injuries in two separate road accidents in Nalanda district on Monday.
According to police sources, a speeding vehicle hit a cycle near Mora Talab under Bhagan police outpost (OP), killing one Akhilesh Kumar on the spot and injuring Rajesh Ravidas, who was admitted to Biharsharif Sadar hospital.
A police officer said the duo belonged to BN Pahadi under the same police outpost area. They were daily wage earners and on way to Sohsarai on a bicycle in search of work.
In another accident, one Abhishek Bharti of village Nuawan under Asthawan police station died after sustaining injuries when a truck hit his bike near Noorsarai under the same police station area. Noorsarai police station SHO said Bharti was on way to Patna. He said the deceased was the only son of Nuawan panchayat mukhiya Manoj Kumar. He said the truck was seized but its driver escaped.
