29 balls, 10 wickets: Chandigarh Women's Kashvee Gautam claims all 10 wickets against Arunachal Pradesh

Womens Under-19 One Day Trophy between Chandigarh and Arunachal Pradesh at KSRM College Ground, Kadapa went into the history book as Chandigarh Women's Under-19 captain Kashvee Gautam scalped 10 out of 10 wickets in the match.

On top of her bowling performance Gautam also top-scored for her team with 68-ball 49 as Chandigarh scored 186 runs for the loss of 4 wickets at the end of their 50 overs.

When Chandigarh took the field after break Kashvee Gautam was not aware that she would create history in the next 30 minutes

Kashvee Gautam bowled 29 balls in Arunachal Pradesh's innings. Six out of the 29 balls bowled by Kashvee were dot balls, while the rest of the 23 balls fetched her 10 out of 10 wickets of Arunachal Pradesh.

Courtesy, Gautam's bowling Chandigarh bowled out Arunachal for a petty total of 25 runs and won the match by 161 runs.

Kashvee Gautam has been on fire throughout the tournament.

Gautam gave just 6 runs from her 10 overs and took a wicket against Bihar in the first match and improved her match figures by scalping 7 wickets in the next match against Jammu and Kashmir.

From the three matches in the tournament till now, Gautam has 18 wickets.

Her team will be next facing Pondicherry on February 28.

Mahaboob Alam, a left-arm pacer from Nepal, had his name in the Guinness Book of World Record when he became the first player to take 10 wickets in an innings of a limited over format. Nepal was playing Mozambique when he finished with astonishing figures of 10 for 12.

For India, Anil Kumble made history when he took all 10 wickets in an innings against Pakistan in a Test match in Delhi. Anil Kumble and Jim Laker happen to be the only two cricketers to take 10-wicket hauls in an innings of a Test match.

Later in 2001, Odisha pacer Debashish Mohanty took a 10-wicket haul in a 2001 match between East Zone and South Zone. Mohanty's effort helped East Zone bundle out South Zone for 113 runs. and later win the match while chasing a modest target of 167 runs. He finished with figures of 10-46 in the first innings.

Manipur fast bowler Rex Singh also took 10 wickets in an innings when he registered match figures of 10/11 in a Cooch Behar Trophy match in 2018.
