AGRA: Three alleged murders were reported on Monday in Fariha, Tundla and Linepar police jurisdiction of Firozabad district. One of the victims was the father of deputy income tax commissioner, Lucknow.
The first incident was reported in Barthara village of Fariha police jurisdiction, where a 47-year-old man identified as Umshankar Singh was shot dead. Originally hailing from Nagla Dhani village of Jalesar, the victim shifted to his in-law’s home in Nagla Kaansh 15 years back.

Superintendent of police (rural), Rajesh Kumar said, “Victim’s body was found in a pool of blood at his farm field. He was shot on his face while he was sleeping. It’s a case of murder, therefore his relatives are giving written complaint to lodge FIR.” Police recovered the body and sent it for autopsy.
“During investigation it was found that the victim had left home to guard his potato farm at night. The exact reason behind the murder and the accused involved in it are yet to be investigated,” he added
The second murder was reported from Charrbagh village of Linepar police jurisdiction, where a 30-year-old daily wage labourer was stabbed to death and his body was thrown along the roadside.
Identified as Dhayan Singh of Sofipur village, the victim’s private part was chopped off. After the incident, local police and CO Sadar, Baldev Singh visited the spot. According to police, prima facie it looks like murder for revenge.

“He was married for ten years, but was living separately from his wife for the last one year. Once his family gives us a written complaint, we will lodge FIR. Meanwhile, the victim's body has been sent for autopsy,” said Baldev Sigh.
The third murder was executed in Tundali village of Tundla police jurisdiction, where a 79-year-old man was bludgeoned to death.
Identified as Narayan Singh, who is said to be the father of Shailendra Singh, deputy income tax commissioner, Lucknow, the victim had gone to his farm field when he was attacked by an unknown assailant and later his body was dumped in a drain.
Superintendent of police (city), Prabal Pratap Singh said, “Prima facie it looks to be the outcome of an old rivalry, however, the victim’s family is yet to lodge FIR. Once the complaint is given to the police, action will be taken.”
He added, “Victim was attacked with a hard instrument on the back of his head twice. Further, the autopsy report will reveal further about the cause of death.”
