Around 300 migrant workers attend medical camp in Kozhikode City

Doctors of ENT, General Medicine, Dermatology, Dental and Community medicine departments of Kozhikode Government Medical College, Government Dental college and Kerala state AIDS Control Society and various health centres of Kozhikode corporation examined the migrant workers during the medical camp.

KOZHIKODE: Kozhikode City Corporation authorities with the help of Labour Department, Government Nursing College jointly organised fourth medical camp and special health awareness class 'Garima 2020' to migrant workers at Azchavattom here on Sunday. Deputy Mayor Meera Darshak inaugurated the programme on the day.
Doctors of ENT, General Medicine, Dermatology, Dental and Community medicine departments of Kozhikode Government Medical College, Government Dental college and Kerala state AIDS Control Society and various health centres of Kozhikode corporation examined the migrant workers during the medical camp.
The camp was conducted for the screening of obesity, diabetes, blood pressure, HIV, filariasis, Malaria and blood group detection among migrant workers.
Around 300 migrant workers attended the health screening camp and health awareness programme. Free medicines and health cards were also distributed to migrant workers attended the camp.
Town planning standing committee chairman M C Anil Kumar presided over the function. Councillor P P Shaheeda and others attended the programme.
