Four of a family admitted to isolation ward in Sonbhadra

A Renusagar power plant employee and three members of his family were admitted to isolation ward of Renusagar hospital in Sonbhadra district on Sunday after he alerted the authorities about coronavirus like symptoms on tollfree number.

VARANASI: A Renusagar power plant employee and three members of his family were admitted to isolation ward of Renusagar hospital in Sonbhadra district on Sunday after he alerted the authorities about coronavirus like symptoms on tollfree number.
Chief medical officer Dr Shashikant Upadhyaya reached the hospital and took stock of their condition. Samples of the employee and his family members have been sent to Banaras Hindu University laboratory for confirmatory test, said the CMO.

Projects spokesman GS Tiwari said that the 50-year-old employee along with his wife, son and daughter-in-law had gone to Nepal. After they returned on March 2, they started suffering from cold, sneezing and respiratory problem. As the problem existed for long he alerted the health department through the tollfree number.
The CMO said that they all have been kept in isolation ward for observation while their pathology report from BHU laboratory is awaited.
