As per a press release issued from the office of Shree Gajapati Maharaja, the Gajapati and his family members had gone to the US to attend several programmes of Shree Jagannath temples in various cities in the USA.
They reached Bhubaneswar on Sunday, and since then, have been staying in their city residence. The Gajapati and his family have been taking all precautionary measures to stay healthy and safe from COVID-19.
“The Gajapati and his family members registered themselves on the COVID-19 registration portal and will stay in their Bhubaneswar residence for next 14 days,” read the release.
Besides, he also appealed all the people who have arrived in the state on or after March 4 from abroad to register themselves on the government portal as soon as possible and follow self-isolation to prevent the spread of coronavirus and help maintain better public health. These people also need to follow all the precautionary measures advised by authorities while in home quarantine.
The Chief Minister also thanked the Gajapati and his family for self-registering on the portal and following self-quarantine processes. The state government launched a portal covid19.odisha.gov.in and a tollfree number, 104 to allow people coming from abroad to self-register for better tracking and monitoring to control COVID-19 situation in Odisha.
