Bus crushes 4 to death in Sultanpur

Four persons were killed while 11 others were injured after being hit by a speeding bus on Banda-Tanda highway in Sultanpur. The victims were trying to rescue an injured biker on the highway on Monday night when the accident occurred.

LUCKNOW: Four persons were killed while 11 others were injured after being hit by a speeding bus on Banda-Tanda highway in Sultanpur. The victims were trying to rescue an injured biker on the highway on Monday night when the accident occurred.
The deceased identified as Hasan Ali (30), Aleem Khan (39), Gagan Tiwari (28) and Sunil Agrahari (35) weer residents of Motiganj area in Sultanpur.
Hasan and Aleem died on the spot while Gagan and Sunil died at KGMU trauma centre on Tuesday morning where five injured were admitted. The other eight injured are undergoing treatment at Sultanpur district hospital. ASP Sultanpur Shiv Raj said the accident occurred around 9pm under Gosainganj police station area.
“A group of villagers had first gone to rescue a biker who was hit by an unidentified vehicle. In the meantime, the speeding private bus coming from the direction of Azamgarh crushed the villagers,” said the ASP.
