KHAGARIA: Two persons—Rajendra Yadav (65) alias Pagloo Yadav and his 35-year-old son Rinku Yadav were shot dead by some armed miscreants at Poorvi Thattha village under the Mansi police station area in Khagaria district on Tuesday night.
Keepng in view the tense situation, additional reinforcement was rushed to the village. Khagaria SP Meenu Kumari said raids are on to nab the criminals involved in the incident.
The spectre of gang war was looming large over the village after the killing of three people only last month.

The trouble started when a former mukhiya Brajnandan Yadav of Thattha village was reportedly shot dead by one Vinod Yadav and his accomplices on February 8 as Vinod was not happy with Brajnandan ever since the latter's daughter-in-law Bulbul Devi was elected mukhiya of Thattha panchayat.
Enraged over the killing of Brajnandan, his supporters attacked and killed Amod Yadav, elder brother of Vinod and one Satto Yadav, a close relative of Brajnandan, on the same night.
The village has virtually turned into a fortress following the killings. "We are apprehending more killings in the days to come,” said a local resident on the condition of anonymity, adding last night’s killing was a fallout of old rivalry. A large number of families have deserted the village in the wake of war of supremacy between two rival families of the same village.
Meanwhile, altogether 32 suspects have been arrested in this connection and remanded to custody, while Vinod is reportedly at large, police said.
