• The City of Brandon the following municipal buildings are closed: Brandon City Hall, the A.R. Brandon Transit, the Eastview Landfill, Brandon Police Service and Brandon Municipal Airport will remain open with modified services. The Eastview Landfill is not able to accept hazardous waste, e-waste and used oil and the administration office is closed. The city asks that residents hold onto items unable to be processed until they are able to accept them again.

• The City of Brandon the following municipal buildings are closed: Brandon City Hall, the A.R. McDiarmid Civic Complex, Parks and Recreation Services, the Civic Services Complex, Brandon Fire & Emergency Services fire halls and the Municipal Water Treatment Plant. • Brandon University has suspended in-person classes for the rest of the Winter 2020 term. Coursework is being shifted to “alternate delivery methods.” The Healthy Living Centre is closed until further notice and members of the public are asked to not visit campus unless absolutely necessary. The Brandon University Students’ Union will be closing their office through Friday.

• Assiniboine Community College is ending in-person classes by Friday. All programs except one will be migrating to alternative formats for students to complete their coursework. The North Hill campus and the Adult Collegiate in Brandon are closing at the end of Friday this week while the Victoria Avenue East campus stays open.

• Like with all Manitoba K-12 schools, the Brandon School Division will be cancelling classes between March 23 and April 13. A notice sent out on Monday by the division said that schools are working on ways they can conduct remote lessons for kids stuck at home. An update sent out by the Division on Tuesday said that students will still have access to social workers, speech language pathologists, psychologists, school counsellors and resource teachers after classes are suspended on March 23.

• All daycare centres and preschools will be closed as of Friday by order of the province. Home daycares will still be allowed to open.

• The Brandon Seniors for Seniors Co-op Inc. will be closed to all activities for 30 days or until further notice starting Monday. Staff will continue to work and will accept your phone calls and emails. They will continue to accept and file income taxes during this time.

• The building is closed where the Brandon Garden Club meets, therefore the March meeting is cancelled.

• The Brandon Jazz Festival set for March 19-21 has been cancelled.

• The upcoming High Valley with Eli Young Band & Lindsay Ell concert on May 29 at Westoba Place might be affected by tour organizer Live Nation putting all of its current tours on hold. Billboard reported on Thursday that Live Nation will re-evaluate the situation at the beginning of April.

• The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair has been cancelled.

• The Keystone Centre has not cancelled any events scheduled to take place and will look at each upcoming event on a case-by-case basis. The box office at the arena is operating under reduced hours this week, 10 a.m to 2 p.m. from Monday until Friday. However, the rest of the Brandon Wheat Kings’ regular season has been cancelled with the rest of the Western Hockey League

• The Manitoba Junior Hockey League has cancelled the rest of the 2019-20 season.

• All Brandon Chamber of Commerce events have been cancelled or postponed for the next 30 days.

• The Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium is closed from March 18 through May 31. Patrons with tickets are asked to hold onto them as the venue looks into rescheduling events.

• The Evans Theatre at Brandon University has cancelled its spring screening series.

• The Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba is closed as of Monday.

• All branches of the Western Manitoba Regional Library (Brandon, Carberry, Hartney, Neepawa, Glenboro) will be closed effective today.

• Dauphin’s Countryfest announced on March 13 that the festival is still proceeding as planned, but organizers are monitoring the situation.

• Rockin’ The Fields of Minnedosa is still scheduled to proceed as planned.

• The Brandon Home & Leisure Show, scheduled for April 10-12 at the Keystone Centre, has been cancelled as of March 13.

• Sunset Rotary has postponed the Brandon Beer Tasting Festival originally scheduled for Saturday.

• Prairie Oasis Seniors’ Centre has closed for 30 days effective March 13. However, their Meals on Wheels service is still operational.

• Some Brandon churches cancelled their Sunday services last weekend. Congregants may want to check in with their churches before visiting to see if they are still open.

• The Brandon School of Dance will be closed from March 23 through April 13.

• Delta 9 has suspended all of its cannabis education classes until further notice.

• Manitoba Public Insurance has cancelled all road, vision and knowledge tests until further notice.

• All YMCA of Brandon facilities except for child care have been closed until further notice.

• All Goodlife Fitness locations across Canada have been closed and account payments have been suspended.

• Brandon’s Landmark Cinemas has closed until further notice.

• All The Keg locations in Canada have been closed until further notice.

• WestJet is reducing its domestic flight schedule by 50 per cent, however, the City of Brandon says that operations at Brandon Municipal Airport have not yet been affected.. Visit the company’s website to see if your flight has been affected.

• The Brandon Curling Club has cancelled the remainder of its season.

• The Brandon Career Symposium scheduled for April 20-22 has been postponed.

• The Souris Curling Club is closed as of Monday, and the 22nd Annual Souris Survivor Bonspiel has been cancelled.

• Shoppers Mall is not closed, but some retailers inside the mall may be operating under reduced hours. The food court has modified operations to now be takeout-only.

• Westman Immigrant Services will not be holding English classes and group programs until further notice. The office is only currently open for critical settlement services only.

• All Brandon Tim Hortons locations will be closing their dining rooms as of today, but takeout and drive-thru service will stay open.

• All Parks Canada parks and buildings, including Riding Mountain National Park, will be closed as of today.

• Brandon’s Robin’s Donuts is closed until March 31.

• Forbidden Flavours on 18th St. will be closing their dining room and operating as a drive-thru only until further notice.

• The Brandon General Museum & Archives has closed effective Tuesday, and all events have been cancelled until further notice.

• The Club 77 Dance at Shriners Hall scheduled for March 21 has been cancelled.

• The Daly House Museum will be closed from March 17 through April 14 and the annual gala dinner at the Ukrainian Reading Association Hall scheduled for March 19 has been cancelled.

• Meetings for the East End Sunshine Club have been cancelled for the remainder of the season.

• The Heritage Home for the Arts in Killarney has been closed until further notice.

• The Artist Heart Studio and Gallery at 1108 Rosser Ave. has been closed until further notice.

• The Friday Senior Dances at the Central Community Centre have been cancelled for the remainder of the season.

• The Crocus Obedience and Kennel Club has cancelled the upcoming agility trials scheduled for March 21-22.

• The Manitoba Agricultural Museum in Austin is closed until further notice.

• The Royal Canadian Legion in Brandon will be closed today through Tuesday, April 14. Events scheduled during that time have been cancelled. Brandon’s Biggest 20th Annual Record Show has also been cancelled.

• The Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum at Brandon Municipal Airport will be closed until further notice.

• T-Birds Food Fun Games is closed until further notice as of March 17.

• Chez Angela Bakery and Cafe has closed its dining area but will continue carry-out and delivery service.

• Starbucks Coffee locations in Brandon have closed their dining areas but are still open for carry-out and drive-thru service.

• The Brandon Friendship Centre’s drop-in area will be closed until further notice effective March 17.

• All casinos in the province of Manitoba will be closed as of Friday, March 20.

• Tommy Gun’s Original Barbershop in Brandon is closed until April 2.

• Chatters Hair Salon at the Corral Centre in Brandon is closing from March 18 until April 1.

• The Friendly Neighbourhood Comic Shop has closed its physical location but is still taking online orders.

• Joe Beeverz Bar and Grill is closed until further notice.

• Princess Dental is closed to non-emergency treatment indefinitely.

• All BDO Canada offices are closed effective today.

• The Swiss Chalet/Harvey’sOriginal Joe’s and East Side Mario’s restaurants at Shoppers Mall as well as Montana’s at the Corral Centre have closed their dining rooms but are still offering takeout and delivery. Original Joe’s franchisee Rick Baker said that the restaurant will be reassessing the situation on Sunday.

• The Dock on Princess has closed until further notice.

• Guinness Tavern is closed until April 1.

• Maple Syrup Tours at the Assiniboine Food Forest scheduled for March 28-29 are cancelled.

• All DavidsTea locations in North America, including the one at Shoppers Mall, are being closed until further notice.

• Rotary Club of Brandon #1344 has cancelled meetings until further notice. Additionally, the Spring Book Sale they host is cancelled until further notice. The sale was scheduled to run April 1-4.

• Waves of Hope has cancelled its Spring Fashion Show. This event was originally scheduled for May 6.

• Prairie Firehouse will be closed until further notice starting March 19.  

• The Maple Syrup Festival in McCreary scheduled for April 4-5 is cancelled.

• The Riverbank Discovery Center is closing until further notice starting March 19. The Riverbank grounds are still open to the public.

• All Boston Pizza locations in Canada will be closing their dining rooms as of March 18 and are moving to takeout and delivery only.

• All The Source locations will be closed from March 18 through 31.

• Lady of the Lake has temporarily closed but is still selling items online.

• All QDOBA locations are moving to takeout only.

• All Bootlegger stores in Canada are closed until further notice.

• Superstore has modified its hours to 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. They are still dedicating the 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. time block Monday through Saturday for seniors and other people needing assistance to shop.

• The Milestones Preschool Wellness Fair scheduled for April 21 has been cancelled.

• The Brandon Farmers Market held every Friday at the Town Centre has been cancelled until further notice.

• The Travellers Day Shamrock Parade scheduled for March 20 has been cancelled.

• Albert’s Bistro is operating under reduced hours until further notice, 4 to 9 p.m. from Monday through Saturday and 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

• Western Financial Group is now doing all of its AUTOPAC services over the phone or online. In the rare case that a customer cannot be helped remotely, an in-person appointment can be made.

• Oak + Ivy Salon is closed until further notice. However, already-booked appointments up until Saturday, March 21 will be honoured.

• The 2020 edition of the annual Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition scheduled for April 17-19 has been postponed.

• The Mental Health on the Prairies conference, including the keynote address from former Brandon Wheat King Jordin Tootoo, scheduled for April 29 through May 1 has been cancelled.

• The Brandon Literacy Council is closed until further notice.

• Toymasters has closed until further notice.

• Shoe Warehouse at Shoppers Mall is closed until further notice.

• Eye Outfitters is closed until at least April 6.

• Andrews Foot Clinic is closed from March 23 through April 6. 

• Fun N’ Games HQ is closed until further notice.

• All Ardene locations in Canada have been closed until March 31.

• All Bath & Body Works locations in Canada have been closed until further notice.

• All Bluenotes locations in Canada have been closed until April 1.

• All The Body Shop locations in Canada have been closed until at least March 27.

• All Call It Spring locations in Canada have been closed until March 31.
