BENGALURU: A 32-year-old has been tested positive for Covid-19 in
Karnataka's Chikkaballapur district. With this the total number of positive cases in the state has gone up to 16.
The man, a resident of Gauribidanuru, had recently returned from
Saudi Arabia after
Mecca pilgrimage. He has been kept in an isolation ward of a designated government hospital.
Conforming the new positive case, state health minister
B Sriramulu tweeted on Saturday morning.
"The affected person is in an isolation ward. People should not panic. His contact is primary and search is on for the secondary contacts," the minister said.
