Like other cities hit by the novel coronavirus outbreak, Delhi too is in partial shutdown mode, where non-essential businesses remain shut on certain days to help contain the spread of the infection. TOI sent a team of reporters to 3 different locations for a spot-check on Delhi's preparedness against the deadly virus on Saturday. Keeping essential services and supply lines running is a challenge for the administration. TOI visited Connaught Place, Defence Colony and Sarojini Nagar markets and found that most of the essential item shops like dairies, chemists, grocery shops and fruit/vegetable sellers are keeping their shops open and contrary to rumors there is no shortage of supply.
