JAIPUR: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot gave instructions to officials to ready one lakh emergency isolation beds in the state on Sunday. "Gave instructions to officials to ensure there is an identified arrangement of 1 lakh isolation beds in an emergency. Our utmost priority is to save lives of people. It should be ensured that there is no negligence at this time of crisis," he tweeted.
Coronavirus in India live updatesAt a meeting with the armed forces at his residence, Gehlot also said that the support of the Army is important in fighting the spread of coronavirus.
“Coordination is required between the civil administration, central agencies, armed forces and paramilitary forces to take on the present challenge,” said Gehlot. The representatives of the Indian Army, Navy, BSF, CISF, railway police and CRPF called on Gehlot to discuss their role in combating the spread of coronavirus.
The railway police offered a space enough to quarantine 1,300 persons and isolated 200 Covid-19 positive. Also, a body of home guards has assured the CM of deploying 13,000 home guards in the battle against the virus. Seeking civil society participation, Gehlot asked donors to give generously in strengthening the state against the virus.
