Gorakhpur administration stops 2 hrs morning relaxation

GORAKHPUR: Amid complete lockdown and state government directions of providing essential food items get delivered at your doorsteps, the Gorakhpur administration has stopped the two hours relaxation for residents.
District magistrate Vijyendra Pandian said if any shopkeeper sells things at rate more than the actual rate or MRP or decided rate, the shop will be sealed with immediate effect.
“Anyone can order food items at helpline numbers — at 0551-2201796, 2202205,2204196 at e-district control room and also at mobile number 9450963851,” the DM added.
District magistrate Vijyendra Pandian on Wednesday during meeting, instructed officials to ensure doorstep delivery..
The district magistrate also instructed SDMs, Tehsildar, ADM finance and revenue and Gorakhpur municipal corporation officials to prepare a database of mobile numbers and address of all the grocery and medicine shopkeepers and also of cart owners (thela) for round-the-clock availability of essential food items.
Keeping in view lockdown, Gorakhpur zone Commissioner Jayant Nalirkar appealed all registered construction labourers and construction companies to email the bank account details either at bocwgorakhpur@gmail.com or send them on WhatsApp at 9956522858, 9838447350, 9648769035, 8737823182 in Gorakhpur, in Deoria, 9161410779, 6393765506 in Maharajganj and 7054029235, 9415322990 in Kushinagar so that Rs 1000 per month could be transferred to their accounts.
