Offences registered against three units in Panchmahal

VADODARA: The Panchmahal police registered offences against three companies for not closing operations despite lockdown orders by the state government. All the three units were located in Kalol area.
Sources said that the offences were registered after the police received complaints regarding these companies operating despite notification for lockdown issued on Monday.Police visited the units and after found around 190 to 260 persons working in these units.
However, it later came to light that two of these units of the same group may have been involved in activities that could be classified as essential. Sources said that this came to light only after the offence was registered.
