VARANASI: No fresh positive Covid-19 case was detected at microbiology laboratory of
Banaras Hindu University on Thursday.
However, three suspected persons including a nine-month-old boy were admitted to the isolation ward of
Sir Sunderlal Hospital on Thursday and two persons were admitted on Wednesday. Their test reports are awaited.
A 50-year-old person from Mirzapur, who tested negative passed away.
He was admitted to the hospital on March 24. The BHU spokesperson, Rajesh Singh said that the man died of other diseases. Presently there are five suspected persons in the isolation ward of the hospital. As many as 50 persons admitted to the hospital since March 6 have tested negative.
Meanwhile, five new
coronavirus positive cases were reported in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, taking the state’s tally to 43.
Among the new cases are the daughter and two acquaitances of the Noida couple who have already tested positive. Of the remaining two cases, one person is from Agra and the other from Baghpat and had retuned from Dubai recently.
