Rajasthan: Two more patient scured, take total to 5

Even as Covid-19 cases continue to rise in the state, news that's holding out hope to citizens and giving confidence to healthcare workers, who are working tirelessly to contain the disease, has come from SN Medical College, Jodhpur. Two Covid-19 patients have tested negative in two successive tests at the hospital.

JAIPUR: Even as Covid-19 cases continue to rise in the state, news that's holding out hope to citizens and giving confidence to healthcare workers, who are working tirelessly to contain the disease, has come from SN Medical College, Jodhpur. Two Covid-19 patients have tested negative in two successive tests at the hospital.
The two were undergoing treatment at MDM Hospital attached to the medical college.
Three patients have already been cured in SMS Medical College, Jaipur, taking the total cured patients to five in the state so far.
He had asked villagers not to spread rumours
An Italian tourist couple and a 85-year-old person, who returned from Dubai, have already been declared cured by the state government.
“Two Covid-19 patients have tested negative for the disease. One of them was shifted from Pali to MDM Hospital, Jodhpur, while another is a 58-year-old woman, who had returned from Turkey along with her 61-yearold husband,” said Dr G L Meena, principal and controller, SN Medical College, Jodhpur.
The patient from Pali, a 39-year-old, had tested positive for Covid-19 on March 21. He had returned from Dubai on March 18. He landed at Mumbai airport and travelled by train from Mumbai to Pali. He got off the train at Rani station and travelled in a jeep with other passengers to Sumerpur, his home, in Pali district. On March 22, he was shifted to MDM Hospital, Jodhpur.
In a video, which went viral, he had addressed his villagers in Pali and appealed to them not to panic and that he would get well and return home soon. He had also appealed to the villagers not to spread rumours on Covid-19.
A 59-year-old woman, who had travelled to Turkey, also tested negative for the disease after undergoing treatment at MDM Hospital.
