KALYAN: Looking at the crowds buying groceries amid the lockdown, the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (
KDMC) has launched an
app called ‘Apple Mandi’ through which local residents can place orders, which can be directly delivered at home.
KDMC
commissioner Dr
Vijay Surywanshi, the brain behind the app, launched the app on Saturday and appealed to the
public to use it in large numbers to avoid going out to shop for groceries.
KDMC has tied up with 115
grocery shops for the purpose. Earlier, it had launched home delivery for senior citizens and disabled persons.
