NAVI MUMBAI: A day after a 65-year-old Govandi woman succumbed to coronavirus infection, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation blamed two hospitals for not following the protocol while referring her to other hospitals.
In fact, the municipal commissioner had even served a show-cause notice to Dr D Y Patil Hospital on Thursday. But the two hospitals-Dr DY Patil Hospital in Nerul and Tandon Hospital in Chembur-clarified that they had followed due procedure.

The woman was initially admitted to Tandon Hospital, then shifted to Dr DY Patil Hospital, which, in turn, referred her to NMMC Hospital in Vashi, where she died four hours after being admitted.
