Margao, all other major markets remained close in the state amid lockdown. The Gandhi Market was open till noon under
CRPF supervision.
Onion was sold between Rs 120 and Rs 150 a kilo in the state.
Few groceries shops scattered across the state were allowed to open under police supervision.
However, municipalities and panchayats were doing a fairly good job by putting together a system for essential commodities to be delivered to people's doorsteps.
Citizens have to call on the numbers provided and place their order of provisions, which were then delivered free of charge.

trucks that were organised by the local
