16 arrested for violating Covid-19 home quarantine

Doha: Ministry of Public Health announced that the competent authorities arrested 16 people who violated the requirements of home quarantine on Sunday.

The pledge they committed themselves had forewarned this.

The ministry said the arrest is part of the measures in force in the country and approved by the health authorities.

This is to ensure public safety, in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

The ministry said that these persons proceeded to prosecution.

The persons arrested are:

1. Abdul Nasser Ahmed Ahmed Al-Shaiba / Qatari

2. Rashid Hadi Rashid Al Sable Al-Marri / Qatari

3. Mohammad Jaber Mohammad Al-Zabadani Al-Marri / Qatari

4. Abdullah Hayel Nazel Rashid Al-Anzi / Qatari

5. Abdullah Hussein Ali Al-Ateeq Al-Marri / Qatari

6. Abdullah Mohammed Salem Al-Bahah Al-Marri / Qatari

7. Abdullah Ali Bakhit Ali Al-Athbi / Qatari

8. Abdullah Jaber Ali Rashid Alyan / Qatari

9. Saif Hamad Saif Ali Al Abtha / Qatari

10. Bandar Saif Ali Saif Al-Marri / Qatari

11. Hamad Jaber Hamad Mohammad Al-Zukiba / Qatari

The authorities reminded citizens and residents in home quarantine of the necessity of strict adherence to the conditions set by the health ministry their own safety and others.

The ministry statement stressed whoever violates the conditions will expose himself to the penalties in line with the provisions of Article 253 of the Penal Code No. 11 of 2004, and the provisions of Law No. 17 of 1990 regarding prevention of infectious diseases, and Law No. 17 of 2002 on the protection of the community.
