Oklahoma health officials report 429 COVID-19 coronavirus cases, 16 deaths
The Oklahoma State Department of Health announced that as of Sunday, March 29, 429 Oklahomans have tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus and 16 people have died. Health officials said the latest death was a man between 50 and 64 years old who lived in Oklahoma County. The man's identity has not been released.They also said four more counties -- Garfield, Rogers, Seminole and Texas counties -- have had their first confirmed cases. Those counties will now be required to come into compliance with Gov. Kevin Stitt's "safer-at-home" executive order that calls for vulnerable members of the population to stay home unless getting groceries, attending a medical appointment or participating in daily exercise and for nonessential businesses to temporarily suspend services.As of Sunday, officials said 1,205 Oklahomans have tested negative and 140 people have been hospitalized.
