‘Ration, veggies to be delivered door-to-door in Rajasthan’

In the wake of Covid-19 crisis in the state, food and civil supplies minister Ramesh Chand Meena on Sunday said essential items such as ration, dairy products, vegetables and medicines will be delivered door-to-door in all the districts. The district collectors will be in-charge of the door-to-door delivery of essential items. ​

JAIPUR: In the wake of Covid-19 crisis in the state, food and civil supplies minister Ramesh Chand Meena on Sunday said essential items such as ration, dairy products, vegetables and medicines will be delivered door-to-door in all the districts. The district collectors will be in-charge of the door-to-door delivery of essential items.
He also said only authorised persons will be allowed to distribute essential items in curfew-imposed areas.
Minister said that assistance of local stores, fair-price shops, e-commerce companies and big retail chains will be taken for door-to-door delivery of essential items in urban areas. "The district collectors will issue passes to the shopkeepers for movement of vehicles. They will sell essential items by going door-to-door with push carts, rickshaws and e-rickshaws along with a delivery boy. If any shopkeeper fails to arrange a delivery boy, the district administration will get the items delivered at the doorstep," he said. He also said e-bazaar platforms of information and technology department will also be used for it.
