JNU, IP University extend date of registration for exams

Owing to the novel coronavirus pandemic, Jawaharlal Nehru University and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University extended the date of registration for their entrance examinations.

NEW DELHI: Owing to the novel coronavirus pandemic, Jawaharlal Nehru University and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University extended the date of registration for their entrance examinations. Earlier, minister of human resource development Ramesh Pokhriyal had tweeted that he directed National Testing Agency (NTA) to extend dates of exam applications.

The minister announced that "To enable students to fill up their application forms during these testing times, I have advised NTA to postpone the last date of acceptance of applications of ICAR exam, JNU entrance exam, UGC NET, CSIR NET, NCHM JEE, Ignou PhD and management entrance exams by one month."
JNU vice-chancellor M Jagadesh Kumar said, "Students may please visit the NTA website for the new date of the entrance exam." Meanwhile, candidates can now apply till April 17 for admission to IP university. Also, the Common Entrance Test 2020 will now be held from May 20 to May 30.
