Karnataka: Fuel price hike from Wednesday

BENGALURU: The budget proposal to hike sales tax on petrol and diesel by 3% each will come into effect on Wednesday.
The Karnataka government issued an order to this effect on Monday. The tax on petrol goes up from 32% to 35% and on diesel from 21% to 24%. Petrol and diesel prices are expected to go up by at least by Rs 1.6 per litre.
