It's all change for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

New heroes from Marvel Comics are about to make their mark while others enjoy a last hurrah - looking at you, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson).

The MCU is about to deliver us a whole new slate of movies with solo sequels to Doctor Strange, alongside new origin movies such as Shang-Chi.

But when can we expect these new movies, along with the new Disney+ series that will also be set within the MCU?

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, all of the films have now been pushed back, so here's all the new release dates.

MCU Phase Four movies

Black Widow

Release date: November 6, 2020

Scarlett Johansson returns in this movie set before Captain America: Civil War which sees Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff confronted with her past but in the form of a dangerous experiment. David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, and Rachel Weisz also star.

The Eternals

Release date: February 12, 2021

Created by celestial gods, the Eternals have lived for thousands of years and possess great power which they use to defend us from the dreaded Deviants. Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, and Salma Hayek star in this ensemble epic.

Release date: May 8, 2021

A new hero rises as the Master of Kung Fu known as Shang-Chi must battle against the dreaded villain known as The Mandarin (Tony Leung). Awkwafina also stars.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Release date: November 5 2021

Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) faces a terrifying new threat and it involves the multiverse. But he's not alone as the Sorcerer Supreme is accompanied in this outing by the Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), fresh from her own limited series WandaVision. Benedict Wong and Chiwetel Ejiofor are expected to return.

Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel

Release date: July 16, 2021

A sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home will be released starring Tom Holland, following a deal finally being reached between Spidey owners Sony Pictures Entertainment and Marvel Studios.

Thor: Love and Thunder

Release date: February 17, 2022

Someone else is worthy. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) are back for a new adventure but they have company in the form of the Mighty Thor - a returning Dr. Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who now wields the hammer.

Black Panther 2

Release date: May 8, 2022

A sequel from director Ryan Coogler has been confirmed, but no other details have been confirmed.

We do have a few ideas of what comes next, however.

Captain Marvel 2

Release date: July 8, 2022

The sequel to the hit Brie Larson film will be out in 2022.

It is unknown when and where in the galaxy will be set, but rest assured, Carol Danvers will be saving everyone as per usual.

Blade

Double Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali will play vampire killer Blade in a reboot of the Wesley Snipes series for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

No other details have been confirmed.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3

James Gunn returns despite all the behind the scenes drama to direct the third Guardians movie which will likely focus on Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) attempting to reunite with an alternate timeline version of his beloved Gamora (Zoe Saldana). No release date has been confirmed.

Fantastic Four

The MCU is about to be joined by the superhero family known as the Fantastic Four: Mister Fantastic/Reed Richards, the Invisible Woman/Susan Storm, the Human Torch/Johnny Storm, and The Thing/Ben Grimm. No other details have been confirmed.

Mutants

A reboot of the X-Men series will begin with an untitled Mutants film. No other details have been confirmed.

MCU Phase Four series on Disney+

 

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Release date: Fall 2020

The Falcon/Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and the Winter Soldier/James "Bucky" Barnes (Sebastian Stan) are the dynamic duo that will have to take on the returning foe from Captain America: Civil War, Helmut Zemo (Daniel Bruhl). Can the pair survive the threat without Steve Rogers?

WandaVision

Release date: December 2020

Vision (Paul Bettany) is dead, but for how long? This new series will focus on Wanda Maximoff as she hopes to revive her love story with the android, but at what price? Things are about to get freaky and tie into the movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Kat Dennings also returns as Thor character Darcy Lewis.

Loki

Release date: Spring 2021

A redeemed Loki (Tom Hiddleston) died in Avengers: Infinity War. Now an unredeemed Loki has escaped from an alternate timeline from the events of Avengers Assemble with the Tesseract, as seen in Avengers Endgame. What will this slightly younger God of Mischief get up to next?

What If...?

Release date: Summer 2021

The only confirmed MCU series so far to be animated, this series will examine major moments in the MCU - if they went down differently. Narrated by Jeffrey Wright as cosmic witness Uatu the Watcher, the series will feature the voices of various MCU stars including Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans.

Hawkeye

Release date: Fall 2021

What if there was another Hawkeye? Jeremy Renner reprises his role as Clint Barton in this upcoming miniseries - but there's a younger and female archer taking centre-stage in Kate Bishop.

She-Hulk

The She-Hulk series will focus on the Marvel Comics character Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who gains Gamma Radiation-induced powers after a blood transfusion from her cousin, Bruce Banner.

She-Hulk has many of the same abilities as Hulk but like his time in Avengers Endgame, Walters generally retains her cognitive abilities between states.

Ms Marvel

Release date: TBC

The latest incarnation of Ms Marvel as the character Kamala Khan is the first Muslim superhero to headline her own comic series, with powers of shape-shifting and healing.

It is thought that the character's own series will eventually lead to film appearances.

In the comics, Ms Marvel was the original super-title of Carol Danvers, who is now more widely known as Captain Marvel.

Moon Knight

Release date: TBC

The Moon Knight series will centre on Marc Spector, a former marine and boxer who is granted increased strength and durability when he is awarded a second life after death by the god Khonshu.

If it follows the comics then do expect a darker and more street-level series.
