Nagpur: Jail released goon murders cop's wife

NAGPUR: The wife of a police personnel of crime branch, Sushila Muley was stabbed to death by a goon at the victim's place near Ramna Maroti temple in south Nagpur on Saturday. The goon, Navin Gotephodea, who was released from jail due to coronavirus-related advisories from Central government, also attacked Sushila's son Navin during the episode.
Gotephode wanted to meet Shushila's son, Naveen, at his residence couple of days ago.As Sushila did not allow him, Gotephode had nurtured an anger against her.
Police said Gotephode had sneaked into the residence of Muley family before attacking Sushila near the kitchen. When Sushila's son rushed out to help, he too was assaulted by Gotephode before fleeing the place.
Nandanvan police have registered a murder case against Gotephode and have launched a search for him.
