Florida sheriff’s deputy dies from coronavirus

A Florida sheriff’s office is mourning the loss of one of its own.

Shannon Bennett served the Broward County Sheriff’s Office for more than 12 years before dying from complications of COVID-19.

He was just 39.

“I ask that you keep Shannon’s family members in your prayers, but keep Shannon within your heart," Broward Sheriff Gregory Tony tweeted. "His legacy will be carried on in our performance.”
