Hyderabad: Cops, doctors to connect on WhatsApp

HYDERABAD: To avoid the recurrence of attacks on doctors and medical staff attending to Covid-19 suspects and patients, DGP M Mahendar Reddy instructed all the superintendents of police and commissioners to create WhatsApp groups locally with police and medical staff as members, so that coordination and communication can be improved.
In a press note, DGP office said, “All police stations across the state have in turn formed WhatsApp groups and established seamless communication between Police and Health Department officials for responding to emerging issues in real time and taking effective action at once.”
