State troopers started stopping and screening travelers entering Texas from Louisiana on Sunday.

Checkpoints have been set up on all roadways entering the Lone Star State from Louisiana.

The screenings are related to the COVID-19 pandemic and motorists are urged to exercise caution.

Commercial motor vehicle traffic will be moved into one lane and will not be stopped, but these checkpoints are slowing down traffic considerably.
