GLOBAL SITUATION :
Tuesday, April 7, 2020, the number of people infected worldwide with the Covid-19 coronavirus since the start of the pandemic (Official source), amounted to 1,350,523 confirmed cases (+ 5.8%) 74,221 more new cases compared to the previous day (71,520): https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30461-haiti-covid-19-daily-bulletin-april-6-2020.html

Since the start of the pandemic, 285,327 people have been cured of Covid-19 worldwide (+ 7.9%), 20,888 more than yesterday (16,595).

Since the start of the pandemic 74,856 people have died from Covid-19 worldwide (+ 7.62%), which is 5,301 more than yesterday (4,706).

The number of people infected worldwide (excluding deaths and healings) is currently 990,340 (+ 4.91%), which is 46,372 more than yesterday (51,870)

Since the start of the pandemic 71,521 deaths (+ 8.01%) have been recorded outside China, or 5,301 deaths more than yesterday (4,704).

HAITI :
3 new cases, Haiti enters Phase 2 of the epidemic :
Sunday, April 5, the Ministry of Public Health confirmed 3 new cases of Covid-19 in the country. Dr Patrick Dely, Director of Laboratory and Research Epidemiology (DELR) confirmed at a press conference on Monday that out of a total of 254 suspected cases of Covid-19 investigated, 24 cases have been confirmed (20 imported and 4 community) including 1 death. "As of April 5, 63 people were placed in hospital quarantine, 613 in residential quarantine and 24 are in isolation [...] The patients are all in stable condition." Community transmission started in Haiti, which is going into Phase II of the epidemic, in other words, there are now infected people who have no history of travel abroad or contacts with people who have traveled to infected countries...

UNITED STATES :
Epidemiological situation :
New York City: 68,696 active cases (+ 6.5%) or 4,193 more than the day before (3,821) and 3,485 deaths (+ 14.34%) or 437 more than the day before (3,048).

Miami Dade (FL): 4,630 active cases (+ 12.5%) or 515 more than the day before (4,115) and 41 deaths (+ 32.26%) or 10 more than the day before (31).

New York State had 131,830 cases (+ 7.87%) on Sunday, 8,670 more than the previous day (8,986) and 4,758 deaths (+ 14.4%), or 599 more than the day before (594).

Studies on potentially immunized people:
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the United States' federal agency for health protection, has begun a serological study in the most active cities of the epidemic. This study looks for specific antibodies in a person's blood, to see if they have been in contact with the Coronavirus Covid-19, even without knowing it, as is common and if their immune system has developed antibodies that generally persist throughout life.

QUEBEC:
Epidemiological situation:
In Quebec 8,459 active cases (+ 6.48%) or 515 more than the day before (947) and 121 deaths (+ 28.7%) or 27 more than the day before (94).

533 cases hospitalized (+ 1.5%) in 24 hours or 8 more in 24 hours including 164 (+ 6.49%) in intensive care or 10 cases more than the day before.

In Montreal, epicenter of the pandemic in Quebec where the largest Haitian community is located (nearly 200,000 members): 3,977 active cases (+ 7.1%), 264 more than the previous day (452) and 47.0% of all cases of Province.

TOP 5 of the most contaminated boroughs in Montreal:
Côte-des-Neiges – Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (384 cases), Côte-Saint-Luc (207), LaSalle (219), Rosemont – La Petite Patrie (194) and Villeray – Saint-Michel – Parc-Extension (160)

TOP 5 of the most contaminated regions of Quebec:
Montreal (3.977 cases + 7.1%), Montérégie (894 + 10.9%), Laval (712 + 11.2%), Estrie (548 + 5.79%) and Mauricie-et-Center-du-Québec (549 + 11.1%).

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC :
Epidemiological situation :
As of Monday, April 6, the number of active cases had risen to 1.709 (+ 3.83%), 63 more than the previous day (162). 86 people have died since March 1 (+ 4.88%) or 4 more since yesterday.

4 provinces represent 71% of all deaths: Duarte (26), National District (14) Santo Domingo (14), Santiago (8).

Healing: 33 (+ 94%) or 17 more than the day before (16).

228 people are in isolation in hospital (+ 3.64%), 8 more than the day before (220) and 1.481 at home (+ 3.86%), or 55 more than the day before (1426).

Provinces with the highest number of confirmed cases (community transmission): National District (38%), Santo Domingo (15%), Santiago (11%) and Duarte (8%) and La Vega (6%).

FRANCE :
Epidemiological situation :
Monday the number of active cases amounted to 72,629 (+ 4.75%) or 3,296 more than the previous day (69,333).

28,747 people were hospitalized (+ 3.39%) or 975 more than the day before (604) including 6,968 in intensive care (+ 1.7%) or 119 more than the day before (6,859).

Healings: 17,429 (+ 6.57%) or 1.075 more in 24 hours.

Since the start of the epidemic, a total of 8,911 people have died from Covid-19 (+ 10.11%) including 2,417 deaths (+ 10.42%) in accommodation establishments for dependent elderly people (i.e. 228 more deaths in 24 hours) and 818 deaths in total more than yesterday (519).

Overseas: 973 confirmed cases (+ 3.5%) or 33 cases more than the previous day and 15 deaths (unchanged)

SYMPTOMS :
Common symptoms of Covid-19 coronavirus: cough, fever and extreme fatigue. Some people may also have more severe symptoms, such as difficulty breathing or pneumonia. On average, symptoms of COVID-19 usually develop 5 to 7 days after infection. In some infrequent cases, they may appear only on the 12th day.

Tips :
Basic advice protect yourself and avoid the spread of Covid-19 as much as possible, in case of introduction in Haiti :

Always cough or sneeze into your sleeves or elbow, never on the other person's face or in your hands;
Use tissues to wipe your hands or face and then throw them in the trash and then wash your hands;
Wash your hands frequently with soap or alcoholic water. You can also use a "sanitizer";
Avoid close contact with someone with flu-like illness and invite them to seek treatment;
Avoid contact with vulnerable people if you are sick;
Avoid greetings like handshakes and kisses;
Avoid touching your nose, eyes and mouth;
Avoid large gatherings as much as possible;
