This is something that Mumbai Police have classically taken to in the past, when it comes to addressing Mumbaikars- using wit and humour – to make a point. And in the current scenario, they are also using that medium to get people to adhere to safety precautions.

This morning, they made a reference to none other than the boy wizard - Harry Potter and his tale. Their official handle carried a tweet with the words: ‘Colloportus' your doors, folks! A lot more than just 5 points will be awarded to all those who stay home during #lockdown and don’t create panic.

On March 24, they took to their official Twitter handle to post a picture that was doing the rounds on social media.

It showed the zodiac signs and what each star had in store, with a difference! In the picture, each star sign read the same text: 'You'll be spending time in your home'. The Mumbai Police twitter handle added a witty caption to it: “For once (and only once), the stars may definitely favour you if you follow these predictions! #HomeIsTheStar
#FightCorona #TakingOnCorona #coronavirus”
And yesterday, they reiterated importance of social distancing with a tweet. It showed white canvas, which had these words in a small font in the middle: “That’s too close. Don’t be a fool. Maintain social distance.”

The handle also carried the caption: “Zoom In! We’ve got a secret message for you.” The tweet was liked 9K times with some netizens replying with laughter and clapping emojis and others calling it creative and timely.
Looks like the messages are sure going to stay in people's minds!
