Two casual labourers from Dabhoi town were arrested on Tuesday evening for recording a video criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and circulating it on WhatsApp.

VADODARA: Two casual labourers from Dabhoi town were arrested on Tuesday evening for recording a video criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and circulating it on WhatsApp.
Police said that accused Mohammed Hanif Sikander and Sakir Yara had recorded the video to criticize Modi as mosques and temples too have been closed during lockdown. In the video, the duo is also heard saying that these holy places should be kept open so that coronavirus can be destroyed.
After recording the video, the duo shared it on different groups on WhatsApp.
After cops learnt about the video, the two men were arrested and an offence was registered against them under Disaster Management Act, Epidemic Act and violation of public notification. "Through this video, they were misleading people and creating fear with false information," said a police.
